Friday 3rd October was a fun night at Rowallan Activity Centre and Glencart Showjumpers were represented by Matthew riding a new addition to the stables - Hillside Cavalier, owned by Edith Clark.
Matthew and Cavalier took part in a jumping class where he was randomly paired with a young rider and pony. His partner for the class was 12 year old Elise Harker from Kikrmichael, riding her own Bluebury Boy.
Elise and Bluebury Boy jumped a super round and at quite a pace! Well done Elise. We understand this was her first time in this type of event, but it surely wont be her last :-)

Congratulations to Matthew for his recent string of success with the horses!
Matthew has won three Open classes to date on Damien (Dimante IV) - all within the past week.
His first 1.10 Open Speed Class win can be seen on video on our Bebo page.
This weeks results:
Damien and Matt - 1.10 Open - 1st, Tuesday 12th August at Rowallan.
Damien and Matt - 1.05 Open - 1st, Friday 15th August at Rowallan.
Damien and Matt - 1.05 Open - 1st, Saturday 16th August at Rowallan.
And last but by no means least to jump was A to Zed (Big AL) and Matt - 4th British Novice - Sunday 17th August at Rowallan.
Big Al is still so new to the yard that he doesn't have his own profile page yet. This placing was only on his second time out. He was one of only 4 double clears in a field of 23 competitors.
Keep it up Matthew, you've set the standard - particularly on Daimien, nothing less than a win will do.
Good luck for Blair - we all can't wait!

This boy has been something of an enigma to me, having not seen him jump. I have heard all the discussions about how special he was and was desparate to see him perform. Yesterday I did and he certainly didn't disappoint!
Damien lived up to my expectations and I can honestly say, rumours of his ability have certainly not been exaggerated.
Being on the yard since Edith bought Damien has been like being part of a top secret experiment or something. Matt and Craig have been working away quietly with him and really just building the anticipation of seeing this very special boy jump. Apparently, they have not even scratched the surface of this horse's scope.

Newly aquired for Glencart Showjumpers is Diamant IV (DAMIEN), 16.3hh chestnut. Owned by Edith Clark and ridden by Matthew Foster.
Damien is something of a superstar in the BSJA circuit, he is the current Scottish Young Rider Champion and has a great number of other victories to his C.V.
