This Sunday we have our unaffiliated showjumping as usual from 2pm. Since it's also Mother's Day ........what do you mean" is it?".... we are making it a little bit special.
To thank all those Mum's who give up thier Sunday's to take thier offspring to competitions we are giving every Mum who brings a competitor with them a very special Mother's Day rosette.
There will also be a complimentary glass of wine for each Mum.
We will start at 2pm as always with the Wobblies class. Hot food, home baking and snacks available from Swiggy's and I'm sure she will have something special for Mother's Day also.

Another super Sunday jumping, thank goodness the weather improved.
Some exception jumping today! This has been the busiest Sunday this season and we all very much enjoyed watching the competition. Once again we are delighted to welcome new competitors and visitors, we hope you enjoyed your first time at our unaffiliated event as much as we enjoyed having you compete. Some lovely ponies today, really looking after their young riders and some very competent young people on board also!
As it was such a lovely day, there were plenty of photos taken which are now in our online galleries. For those of you who may not have visited before, all photos are available to purchase as prints and a price list and order form can be founf in our dowloads section. It may not be obvious, but if you cannot find the unique number for any image you would liike to have, click on it and it will open in a small window, let your mouse hover over the image and the number will appear - make a note of it.
Swiggy was run off her feet in the cafe and completely sold out! Apparently, she has decided that if she will be this busy in future (and we can almost guarantee she will, and more!) she will have to give up horses and devote all of her time to baking and preparation. I'm sure 'oor topper' will be none too pleased to find out she will be abandoning him for a batch of carrot cake
.
Once again we thank everyone involved, from the competitors to our own hard working staff and helpers. We will be here to do it all again next Sunday, we hope you will join us for another great afternoon.

Sunday 8th March Jumping

Well, we had a blizzard for a while in the morning, followed by howling gales and rain, then more wet snow and still we jumped!
We all have the greatest admiration for those to turn up regardless of the weather and take part in our competitions and this week was no exception. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of you for making our work so much fun and so worthwhile.
We always appreciate our competitors and we very much appreciate our staff and 'helpers', without whom none of our events would happen - we just don't tell them often enough, we have a very special team and each and every one is invaluable to us.
Our kids who do so much, getting stuck in wherever help is needed, leading hosres in lessons, tacking up, mucking out, grooming, helping in the cafe, stewarding at events, taking photos, making rosettes...the list goes on and on. 'Our' kids are the best in the world and although I tell you you are a horrible lot
I think you all know just how much we all really love you all...... Emma, Erin,Jojo, Kirstin, Rachel and Rebecca.(Crikey had to do that alphabetically)
To Swiggy who works tirelessly in the cafe each and every weekend, baking cakes for days before hand to make sure everyone has a good choice of home baking, making pots of delicious soup for the coldest days and always with a smile and a cheerful song.
To Eleanor and Steven who both work so hard and such long hours, because they care so much for the animals we all love so dearly - our horses. Without them, this yard would come to a grinding halt.
With the team we have at Glencart, I personally, would not want my horses to be anywhere else.
