Unaffiliated Showjumping 26th April
Last Updated (Tuesday, 30 November 1999 00:00) Written by Hazel Sunday, 26 April 2009 19:26
Today's unaffiliated showjumping was one of those strange but very enjoyable days where, although not overly busy classes, we witnessed some outstanding jumping.
Firstly, I'd like to welcome back young Erin Sands to jumping with her pony Jerry. She has come so far from the young rider I saw last year just coming off lead rein. This was her first full course today and she did really well.
Today was definately a day for the younger riders, Jack James and his shetland pony Jack-the-Lad were brilliant - with neither of them the height of nonsense
However, the most outstanding jumping today came from two young riders, who pushed themselves further than they ever have before and showed real courage and determination over some serious fences.

Jumping will be on this Sunday 26th April from 2pm, starting with the wobblies class as usual.
Last week was the busiest jumping afternoon we have had this year, took us all by surprise a bit. The 65cm Class in particular seemed to go on forever - so much so that one competitor (I'll not mention names, to protect the daft!) thought we had moved on to her larger class and went in to complete the course...lol
To those of you who don't visit our Bebo site, please note we have created a new site to buy and download images taken at all Glencart events. This is still a work in progress and more pictures are being added daily - it will take some time to get them all on due to the file sizes. However, that past 3 weeks are on at the moment and download prices start at just £1 per image. So no waiting for prints and you can make as many copies of the pictures as you like. Payment is via paypal.
Visit www.image-ready.com to get your pictures. Any problems with using this site, please email me and I'll sort things out.
We are also currently working on the Summer Series Schedule 2009 and dates and format should be ready by the beginning of May, if you are not currently registered as a previous competitor with us, call the yard and we will make sure a schedule is posted out/emailed to you as soon as they are available. You will also be able to download it directly from this website as soon as it's all been confirmed.
So, busy, busy, busy! I love the bustle the better weather creates. See you all on Sunday.
