A great start to our Wednesday evening showjumping!

The weather held for us and although a bit nippy, there was some super jumping. Photos from last night are in the picture galleries now, but there are not many due to my fingers freezing Cry

As with the last few weeks, this is definately the season for dramatic improvements in our younger riders. Both Rachel & Rebecca were superb, with both of them jumping in thier first ever competition on horses (they have competed on ponies), horses are a different thing altogether when you are used to ponies.

Rachel won the horse section in the 55cm Class on my horse Zach - although as she keeps telling me, he's her horse now - and I'm inclined to give in to that. Rebecca came 2nd in the horse section in both the 65cm and 75cm Classes on Connie. In recent weeks we have seem a real change in both of these riders, in terms of ability, confidence and technique - I suppose it's no coincidence that they have both benefitted from private tuition with Matthew over the last month. Suffice to say, there are two very appreciative young riders and two very gratefull mothers to 'Oor Matty'.

Another rider who deserves some merit is Jojo who won the horse section in the 65cm Class on Eleanor's horse April. We at Glencart are very proud of our youngsters and staff.

As it was a bit cold last night, Swiggy went all out (as she does anyway) with great food for the Cafe and the soup was most appreciated - so much so I had two helpings of my favourite, Home Made Lentil. So if there wasn't any left for you, it may well have been my fault Tongue out.

We look forward to doing all of this again next Wednesday and are now gearing up for a great Summer Series.

Thanks to all who came to jump on Sunday. This was the last time we will be running on a Sunday afternoon for this year.

We are now moving the unaffiliated shojumping to Wednesday Evenings from Wed. 13th May, starting at 6:30pm. Why? Well, we always do this at this time of year to make room for our Summer Series of Shows.

The dates and schedule for the Summer Series is now confirmed and all dates are in our events calendar. The schedule can be downloaded from the Documents & Downloads section of this website.

In recent years we have had a few side saddle riders, which is lovely to see, so from this year we have introduced a new class for Side Saddle Showing.

Download your schedule and tell all your friends. Here's to a great series.
