At Glencart, we rarely have stables available for livery.

However, due to a reduction in stock of horses for sale, we now have a limited number of boxes available for livery clients. We offer, Full, Part & Assisted livery options at very good rates and with experienced staff.

All livery clients have use of our facilities and access to our livery lounge. Please direct all enquiries to Craig or Evelyn at the yard.

Well, that's the ball rolling on our Summer Series now!
The weather was not as good as expected, at 7:30am, it was sunny and warmish, by the time we got underway, the wind got up and the temperature had dropped. It was a chilly day altogether, but that didn't stop everyone giving their all for the Showjumping and Showing.
I saw very little of the showing yeserday as I was in the office taking entries and trying to get the odd photo taken here and there :-)
We would like to thank very sincerely our Pony Showing Judge Sandra Simpson, who stood outside on a very cold day and coped, for the most part alone, with all the showing classes, thanks also to Drew who stepped in to help her out. It was a long and tiring day for both of them.
As always, we very much appreciate all the help we get from our own staff and friends. Our kids who stayed up into the small hours on Saturday night making all of the rosettes - then got up at the crack of dawn to finish them off and then to get their horses and ponies ready to take part in classes. We are very proud of every one of them.
Eleanor and Swiggy who slave away in the cafe feeding us all. After a hard day in the Cafe, Eleanor still has the yard to attend to, feeding, turning out etc.
Show days are long for all of us, but we love it!
Jojo, Rebecca and Rachel did really well yesterday, getting 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 65cm class. This was Rebecca's first ever show on Pluto and she did so well, Jojo was riding Eleanor's horse April and Rachel rode my(ok, HER) Zach. All of these girls were on ponies this time last year and this will be their first season on horses.
Erin, Kirstin and Simone did really well in both showing and showjumping on their ponies Second Chance, Pole Dancer and Beamer.
Louise Cullinane (sorry if I spelt that wrong Louise), did really well getting round the 75cm Class on Zach, in spite of a serious attack of nerves. This was the first time Louise had ever taken part in a showjumping event and she got her first ever competition rosette!
Becca Martin and Imogen gave us two very exciting and very close jump-offs in the 85cm and 95cm open Classes.
Izzy and the gorgeous Charlie, looked fantastic in the Horses Turnout class - that is one seriously handsome horse!
Everyone was fantastic, the ones mentioned above just stuck in my mind for one reason or another. I wish I could mention everyone by name, but that would just take too long, but to all who took part, we thank you and hope you will be back for the next show.
In spite of the cold and the ever present threat of a soaking (which thankfully didn't happen) we had some very good competition and some super riders.
The photos that were taken are now online and available to purchase from www.image-ready.com.
Please note, these photos are copyright - you may not take them from either Glencart.com or Image-ready.com with the watermarks on them and plaster them all over your Bebo pages or anywhere else. If you buy them, you can do what you like with them.

Looks like Glencart is the place to be on a Wednesday!

Really busy last night with the jumping continuing until about 10:30pm. The cafe was very busy indeed and I found Swiggy almost passed out of the sofa in the Livery Lounge after it was all over Wink

Again new competitors and a return of some we have not seen for a wee while. Thanks to everyone who came to jump.

I would like to specifically mention Erin Walker and her pony Second Chance, after a very successful season last year, Erin had some confidence issues for a while. It's nice to see that she and Chance have now got their Mojo back and she won two classes in succession. Very well done Erin! I got a video of her in the 65cm Class and this will be on YouTube later this morning. I only wish I had taken video of her in the jumpoff, she was outstanding!

All in all, last night offered some excellent jumping and competition. Next thing is the Summer Series on Sunday, we hope you can all join us for the first of our Summer Series Shows.
